OCÉ-MULTIUSERCONCEPT
II IN FUTUREtec-PROJECTS
Océ-MultiUserConcept
II is a software-based tool for the analysis of the copy/print-situation
in companies and public administration. It was developed by Dr. Robert
Dekena (today managing director of FUTUREtec
GmbH) at the university of Cologne. The software belongs to Océ Deutschland
GmbH. FUTUREtec is allowed to use it in its
own neutral projects.
During the
analysis FUTUREtec collects information about
the existing copy/print-structure by using standardised questionnaires
and puts the collected data into the illustrated rooms. The basic idea
of the software is the presentation of all relevant information in a graphical
building matrix.
In combination
with the information about the used copiers and printers, FUTUREtec is
able to analyse the actual situation of the document: its creation, as
well as the volumes of the produced documents, the used capacity of the
copiers and printers, the cost structure (including walking costs) etc.
Based on the analysis of the actual situation FUTUREtec
simulates and evaluates for every customer several alternatives. The total
costs (system- and walking costs) of the single solutions are presented
in detail.
Considering
the printer-world as well as the copier-world, the Océ-MultiUserConcept
II offers a powerful instrument for the analysis of the use of multifunctional
systems. In case of any of the following questions FUTUREtec
is able to help you, using the Océ-MultiUserConcept II and other tools:
- What will my future
copier equipment look like after the contracts run out?
- On which systems and
at which location should the users print in the future?
- Are my systems installed
at the right locations?
- What does the decentralised
copy/print-situation cost?
- Does it make sense
to use network-connected multifunctional systems in our company?
- Is copying in our company
cheaper then printing?
