Intecs HRT is a medium size, private company operating in the information technology field. It employs approximately 170 people, distributed over four locations: Rome (Headquarters), Pisa (Research Centre and Legal Premise), Naples and Piombino. A subsidiary branch is located in Tolouse (France). More than 140 employees have an university degree, either in Computer Science, Engineering or some other scientific discipline. Several employees have gained valuable experience in renowned Italian and European research laboratories. Intecs HRT has an yearly Arthur Andersen certified-balance. In June 1994, Intecs HRT was assessed, according to the BOOTSTRAP scheme, at Level 3 (defined) of the Maturity Model. This places Intecs HRT within the top 5% of European Companies assessed. In December 1994 Intecs HRT passed the formal certification audit for ISO 9001. This places Intecs HRT among the first Companies certified in Italy.
The business area of the Company is in the Information Technology field, providing big national and international organisations with consultancy services on high-tech systems, as well as prototype and "turn-key" software systems developments.
Intecs HRT is participating, often as Coordinating Partner, in several research projects funded by CEC and other European or national organisations, in the fields of software and process engineering, client-server multimedia distributed applications, distributed heterogeneous GISs and multimedia data base systems, distributed systems for environment control, hard real-time and communication systems, among others. Projects have been performed for major private and public organisations.
